Neha, a 27-year-old midfielder for the Indian Women's Hockey team, has excelled in her role since making her debut in 2014. She played a key role in winning Gold at the 2016 South Asian Games and the 2017 Women's Hockey Asia Cup. Additionally, she contributed to the team's Silver medal at the 2018 Asian Games and the second-place finish at the 2018 Asian Champions Trophy.
Neha represented India in the 2018 Women's Hockey World Cup and the 2018 Commonwealth Games. Despite narrowly missing a medal at the Tokyo Olympics 2020, she played a crucial part in India winning Bronze at the 2022 Women's Hockey Asia Cup. In the 2022 Commonwealth Games, Neha contributed to the team's third-place finish after defeating New Zealand in the Bronze medal match.
In December 2022, Neha played a pivotal role in the Indian Women's Hockey Team's triumph over host nation Spain in the Women's FIH Hockey Nations Cup finals at Valencia, securing the Gold medal. Following this success, she contributed to the squad's Bronze medal win at the Asian Games in Hangzhou, concluding in October 2023. Neha's most recent accomplishment was clinching the Gold medal with the Indian Women's Hockey Team at the 2023 Women's Asian Champions Trophy in Ranchi, Jharkhand.
Expressing her gratitude for reaching this significant milestone, Neha stated, "I am truly honored to have had the opportunity to represent the country in 150 matches. It has come with its fair share of challenges, but I'm glad I have been able to push through it all. I owe a special thanks to my family, friends, teammates, and support staff. They will always hold a special place in my heart for all the support they have given me over the years."
Offering congratulations on Neha's achievement, Hockey India President Dilip Tirkey remarked, "This is a tremendous accomplishment for Neha, and we are extremely happy and proud of her. Sustaining oneself for such a long period requires a different level of effort and commitment, and I'm sure she's only going to grow from strength to strength, continuing to serve the Indian Women's Hockey Team with unmatched dedication."
