Adele takes major decision amid health scare at Las Vegas residency |
Adele intends to take a well-deserved break following a health scare she encountered during her Las Vegas residency. The 35-year-old songstress expressed regret to her audience at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace for struggling to hit a high note during her performance on Sunday.
"In the wee hours last night - you can probably hear it in my voice, both speaking and singing. Yours truly was exhausted. I barely got any sleep," she remarked.
The singer playfully likened her voice to that of a Disney villain from The Little Mermaid, humorously mentioning Ursula emerging from her chest. "My upper notes just won't cooperate. Lack of sleep is setting my chest ablaze... I feel like I won't need a coffee for at least 10 days, but hey, here I am," Adele elaborated.
She then disclosed her plan to undergo "voice rest" for three days, during which she won't utter a word. "So, I'll be curled up in bed, hacking away, on complete vocal lockdown. And not only is my partner a real chatterbox, but so is my son. Looks like I'll have to barricade myself in a closet or something," Adele added with a hint of humor.
